Fossil and Radioisotope Dating

Dinosaur Fossils

What about dinosaur fossils? Although evolutionists claim dinosaurs lived millions of years ago, there is no gauge or test to date mineralized bones—especially bones assumed to be millions of years old. Evolutionists obtain their dates by indirect or relative dating methods—that is, the use of index fossils and geologic strata, and circular reasoning, based on the assumption of evolution and an old earth.

Yet, there is much evidence for several thousand years, not millions of years as suggested by evolutionists. Undamaged strands of DNA have been recovered from dinosaurs that supposedly roamed the earth 68 to 248 million years ago during the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. Scientists from the University of Montana found frozen, unfossilized Tyrannosaurus rex bones in a sandstone formation of eastern Montana that contained blood vessel channels, red blood cells and hemoglobin.41, 42, 43

Evolutionists are unable to explain the demise of dinosaurs because of the assumption of evolution and uniformitarian doctrine. However, a worldwide flood followed by the Great Ice Age provides a very reasonable explanation. (See section, Natural Selection and Extinction)
